Combating coronavirus: Jaleel Holdings donates 100,000 meals to UAE’s biggest food distribution drive

The UAE-based Investment Group, Jaleel Holdings, announced donating 100,000 meals to the UAE’s biggest food distribution drive that aims to support communities affected by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in the UAE.
The ’10 million meals’ campaign, launched on Sunday, enables individuals and institutions to make financial and in-kind donations towards providing meals and food parcels to low-income individuals and families across the country throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
MV Kunhumohamed, founder and chairman of Jaleel Holdings, said, “we are happy to join a supporting network of entities and companies to the ’10 million meals’ campaign, an inspiring humanitarian project that reinforces the commitment to practice corporate social responsibility and achieve development goals. Being a socially-committed business group, it is our responsibility to rise to the needs of the nation at a very challenging time.”

Kunhumohamed praised the efforts of the UAE’s leadership in providing the right platforms that allow people and institutions to stand together in solidarity to empower communities.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced on Sunday the launch of the ’10 million meals’ campaign to support families and individuals affected by the Covid-19 pandemic that left many facing unemployment and income reductions.
The overarching Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) will oversee the ’10 million meals’ campaign in collaboration with the Social Solidarity Fund Against Covid-19.
